View of Berwick at the mouth of the Tweed

 Berwick Walls

Dewar's Lane Granary is a mid 18th century building, in a prominent and sensitive location within Berwick upon Tweed. It has been disused and derelict for 20 years and is the last remaining of the towns granaries.

A number of private commercial development schemes have been drawn up in the last ten years, but all have proved to be economically non-viable. It is vitally important to save, restore and bring this building back to life as it is in a key part of the Quayside area. By doing so this restoration will provide a catalyst for much needed further investment and development of the area. Without the Trust's involvement, who are leading this project, the restoration will not go ahead.
